Osbourne had a public spat with heavy metal band Iron Maiden, and their lead singer, Bruce Dickinson, during the 2005 Ozzfest tour. She allegedly cut off the PA system during their concert, and later admitted to having instructed people to throw eggs at the band.

Posters for the “Diary of a Madman Tour” showed Osbourne in his “Prince of Darkness” alter ego — complete with devil horns — and warned attendees that eating before the concert was “not recommended.

Fans, musicians and former bandmates have paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, the frontman of pioneering heavy metal band Black Sabbath, who has died aged 76.

Osbourne is often referred to as the Godfather of Heavy Metal, although he preferred the nickname the Prince of Darkness, which he used on social media.
