A California doctor charged in the 2023 overdose death of "Friends" star Matthew Perry pleaded guilty on Wednesday to four counts of illegal distribution of the prescription anesthetic ketamine.

Iwamasa, who admitted in court documents to administering the ketamine on the day that Perry died, pleaded guilty in August 2024 to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death, the DOJ said. He is scheduled to be sentenced in November.

The physician is the fourth of five people charged in connection with Perry’s death to plead guilty. Sentencing is scheduled for December 3.
