Pope Leo XIV said he was "deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and injury caused by the military attack" on the Catholic Church in Gaza.

The only Catholic Church in Gaza, which Pope Francis called nightly since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, was hit by an Israeli shell this morning (July 17), killing three people and injuring 10 others, including the parish priest.

The Bazaar is the church’s biggest fundraiser, but in addition to supporting the church financially, the event brings people together and fosters a sense of community.
