Brett Hankison, a former police officer in Louisville, Kentucky, who was convicted in Breonna Taylor's death, was sentenced to 33 months in prison on Monday.

Taylor, a Black woman, was shot and killed by Louisville, Kentucky, police officers in March 2020 after they used a no-knock warrant at her home. Her death sparked racial justice protests over the treatment of people of color by police.
