Hewlett Packard is owed more than £700 million ($943 million) by the estate of late British tech tycoon Mike Lynch and his former finance director after they lost a fraud case involving Lynch’s software company,

The estate of late tech tycoon Mike Lynch and his business partner owe technology giant Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) £700m, the UK High Court has ruled. HPE bought Lynch's tech firm Autonomy in 2011, but it says Lynch and Autonomy's former chief financial officer, Sushovan Hussain ,misrepresented the company's finances.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) is set to recoup more than £700m ($944m) from the estate of the late Mike Lynch and his former business partner, Sushovan Hussain, a London High Court judge ruled on Tuesday. The sum relates to HP’s ill-fated acquisition of British software firm Autonomy.
