Arlington Heights police are investigating after a man was shot in the face in front of a home Friday morning.A white Corvette that was in the driveway with its entire window shattered and damage to the driver's side door is believed to be at the center of the crime.

A man was shot in the face around 3:20 a.m. Friday on Galesburg Avenue in Arlington Heights. He was taken to a hospital and his condition has not been released. Cook County Sheriff’s Police are investigating and asking for tips.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office said they received a report that a person had been shot in the face, and when they responded, they saw a man at the scene and treated him before he was taken in an ambulance to a nearby hospital.
