New analysis highlights where the most residential structures were located during the deadly Texas flash flooding.

Hundreds of New Jersey homes were damaged by flooding Monday​, and many families are just beginning the process of filing insurance claims.

Kansas City metro faces record rainfall and flash floods, prompting water rescues. Warnings issued for mulitple areas of the metro, including Independence, Raytown, and Blue Springs.

Heavy rain in the Kansas City, Mo., area inundated neighborhoods and highways on Thursday, prompting nearly two dozen rescues of people stranded in their cars. More than eight inches of rain fell in some parts of the metropolitan area overnight,

Flash flooding closed roads and led to rescues in Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri on Thursday morning. By 6:40 a.m., the metro area had already picked up more than 2 inches of rain. The storms will continue to move out of the area through Thursday morning.

A flash flood warning was issued by the NWS Las Vegas NV on Thursday at 4:51 p.m. in effect until 8 p.m. for San Bernardino County.

A flash flood warning was in effect in New York City until 9:45 p.m., and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency. Middlesex, Morris and Somerset counties remained under a flood warning until 7:15 a.m. Tuesday.

On Thursday at 5:40 p.m. the NWS Raleigh NC issued a flash flood warning in effect until 8:45 p.m. for Davidson and Forsyth counties.
