The suspect had parked at a dead end of an undeveloped industrial park in Lorain, located in northeast Ohio, and had an "arsenal of weapons with him," Acting Lorain Police Chief Michael Failing said at a press briefing Wednesday.

Authorities say the shooting of three Lorain Police Department officers was a targeted attack on law enforcement. The gunman was shot and killed at the scene.

Wednesday afternoon, three officers were shot, according to the Lorain County Sheriff's Office. Law enforcement is currently on the scene near Colorado Avenue.
