Portland man Michael Harper was arrested after hiding for hours in a Target store's rafters following a knife-wielding confrontation with a security guard that prompted a store evacuation.
As first reported by Retail Dive, Target is ending its policy of price-matching its competitors beginning on July 28. In a statement to Retail Dive, Target said it's found that customers “overwhelmingly price match Target and not other retailers,” according to a statement from a spokesperson shared with Retail Dive.
Target announced it would no longer match prices from its competitors, like Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy, starting at the end of this month.
