General manager Adam Peters says the Washington Commanders continue to have conversations with top wide receiver Terry McLaurin on a contract extension.

For the first time in decades, the Commanders have stability at quarterback after the fast-track emergence of 2024 rookie Jayden Daniels, who earned Rookie of the Year and Pro Bowl honors while leading the Commanders to the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

Washington Commanders veterans reported to training camp Tuesday, but wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who is seeking a new contract, was not among them, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
