Someone who played Powerball in Connecticut on Saturday night won $150,000! The winning numbers were 28-48-51-61-69 and the Powerball was 20. Powerplay was X3. The $150,000 winner matched four of the five numbers as well as the Powerball.

After playing the lottery for more than four decades, Joe Freeman is now celebrating a big win with his wife of 25 years. The Meriden resident won $100,000 from the Powerball drawing on July 12, the CT Lottery announced in a news release. The ticket was purchased on July 7 in Shelton at a Wheels convenience store for $18.

Following the win, Joe Freeman said he "immediately gave the prize check to his wife," the CT Lottery spokesperson noted.
