A deadly mystery is unfolding in a rural Illinois town where two people were found dead after a house fire, and authorities believe a dangerous suspect may be on the run.

A day long manhunt ended Thursday, after a double murder and house fire in the village of Sheridan in LaSalle County.

Video from the scene shows a large law enforcement presence, including police, SWAT, and canine units, in Sheridan, Illinois. Police officers have blocked off a large stretch of roadway in the area that appears to be residential.

A death is under investigation in Sheridan, Illinois. WLS-TV in Chicago reports no one is in custody as LaSalle County officials continue investigating.
