Tropical Storm Wipha made landfall in northern Vietnam Tuesday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds that knocked out power in parts of Hung Yen Province

The Philippine Embassy in Hanoi urged Filipinos to fully cooperate with the safety measures being implemented by local authorities as Tropical Storm Wipha hit Vietnam. Wipha is the international name of Severe Tropical Storm Crising which submerged Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

Storm Wipha is causing strong winds of 62–102 kph in the islands and coastal areas of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong in northern Vietnam and is expected to make landfall around 10 a.m. today.
