Is Tarik Skubal one of the three best players in baseball? If you asked Jon Heyman, he would say yes. After another stellar outing yesterday against the Texas Rangers, Heyman took to X this morning to heap praise on to the Tigers’ lefty.

After six shutout innings, Skubal took a 1-0 lead into the seventh. A one-out double by Adolis Garcia and a single by Kyle Higashioka put the tying run at third. Skubal then won an eight-pitch battle to strike out Jonah Heim.
