An afternoon of fun took a scary turn when people riding the Skyfari Sky Ride at a Massachusetts zoo got stuck 30 feet in midair.

MENDON ― More than 30 people have been safely taken off a ride that malfunctioned at Southwick's Zoo, according to a zoo spokesperson. It started around 3 p.m. Monday, July 21 when the Safari Sky Ride that gives passengers a suspended bird's eye view of the zoo had an internal mechanism issue, said Nicholas Keyes, the zoo's marketing director.
